RHLSTP featured on Only Connect tonight. I knew something was coming as Neil, who sometimes operates our cameras, is also camera operator for the nerdy quiz show and he tipped me off. It's great to feature on the show, even if the nerds (my exact demographic) didn't seem to know what my podcast was. Might start calling it RCHRDHRRNGSLCSTRSQRTHTRPDCST from now on. Though the podcast is officially called RHLSTP now and if the Only Connect writers weren't cowards they would have put that up as the non-vowel version and seen if anyone had got it.

My son is a big fan of Andy's Dinosaur Adventures, as am I, though I don't understand why Andy goes back millions of years in his time machine, rather than just 5 minutes so things are like they were before his clumsiness fucks things up. In the one we watched today he chose to risk death going back to dinosaur times to find a fern above just using some glue to stick the fake fern together. This is laziness so crazy that it becomes harder work than just doing the repair.
My daughter used to love this show, but now she sees through it, like I do and so whilst we watch we get a stand up routine from her as she points out all the inconsistencies and plot holes and where they use the same bit of footage of the class arriving and Hatty saying "Hurry up before we all turn into dinosaurs" (or something similarly nonsensical) in almost every episode. It's very funny. And a terrible presage of the life that might await her. But it's difficult to get a TV show that they both enjoy, so this is a good way to have something that one of them genuinely likes and the other is enjoying ironically. She's come a long way since one of her first jokes, watching a cartoon about monsters at school when she was maybe 3 and said "Why do them keep saying them names?" during the intro (where they introduced themselves each time). Who knows where she will get to next?
We are also working together on an art project for a local charity - though the superior artist, Phoebe, is doing most of the actual work. Ernie is still a handful too big for my Hermione hands, but they're both at a lovely stage where you can have lots of fun and crazy chats and flights of fancy. I am basically just colouring in, but nice to collaborate on a creative project with my talented daughter. She won't let me mess up her work for long. It doesn't involve me falling into lava. Thankfully her dad-falling-into-lava period seems to be over.

Bit of fun. Been doing some promotional videos for the tour. This one is for Tunbridge Wells. There are only 800 tickets left so don't leave it too late

A couple of great names added to the Leicester Square gigs (plus promise of someone very exciting in January too). Badgers and Plussers should have an email.
The afternoon Newcastle gig is showing as sold out (though according to my figures there are still a couple of dozen tickets to sell). Don't delay though Newcastle, book for the evening show before that maybe sells out too!
