Phoebe declared today that she wanted to marry the balloon of Emmett from the Lego Movie, calling him her marrier and hugging him and holding his hand. Is it OK for a person to marry a balloon? The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. They made a nice couple to be fair.

I had an adequate day of writing where I maybe got about 5 pages out, but it felt like a huge step forwards and though I am still only on two half scripts out of six, I felt like I might actually finish them all by the December 4th deadline. We’re not recording them til mid-January so I’ve got fucking ages!
It’s crazy that one day of slightly trying has lifted a month’s worth of gloom. And unrealistic too. But I feel like I’ve made more progress with the characters and how they will have developed (or not) for this series. As long as I can create the situations then I know how they will probably react. Not always exactly though, as sometimes they do stuff that I am not expecting.
But after several weeks of wanting to give up writing I am feeling more energised. At least until I start trying to think about the four scripts that I’ve currently got nothing for. I have no choice but to get the scripts done. And if I had longer it would take longer. Even though November is busy with podcasts and parental duties, I will have to get something done and so I will (and I know that as long as I get four of them close enough then that’s still enough for the read through- but it will be much more useful to me to hear all six read so will do my best). I then have another month to re-write (or write) and I will get it all done and forget all the pain and stupidly plough on with the next project.
With so many podcasts in the bank I am hoping to work up some writing projects in 2020, having a crack at a book and an audio sitcom funded by the advertising revenue from RHLSTP. There will still be some podcasts, but not as many as I’ve done this year.
Of course, I never know what else might come up and distract me, but I hope nothing will. I should have one more last punt at trying to prove to the world that I am a better writer than it has noticed me being. And increasingly I like the idea of work that I can do without having to leave my house..
But I am getting ahead of myself. There’s an awful lot of radio script to do.
298 days without an alcoholic drink. I am starting to miss it a little bit, but I have also put on a bit of the weight I lost and want to stop the slide, not lubricate it with beer. I pretty much have to get to the end of the year now. Or at least to Sunday.

Lovely to see that people have started receiving their Kickstarter T shirts from the last but one campaign. The stones and snooker balls will be out to you asap, but we're waiting for some swanky display cases to arrive from China. The stone clearing video should be with you soon (if it isn't already) and as to the snooker video....
There’s a once in a lifetime opportunity (provided you weren’t alive when I did the last one and die before I do the next one) to see a live Me1 vs Me2 snooker tournament - the best of 3 frames for the Chris Evans (not that one) trophy. It’s on December 4th at the Cockpit in London. Only 200 tickets so book quick because about 25 of them will sell very fast.
The video will only go to kickstarter donors (at the right level) and probably monthly badgers too, so if you don't donate and want to see it then you MUST COME AND SEE IT LIVE.
