Richard Herring April News

Hello everyone
Happy New Tax Year. Have I got news for you? Yes I have.
Coming to the end of my tour now, thanks to all those of you who have come along and made it my most successful show yet. There are still a few more chances to see the show, which will also be released on DVD in the autumn.

HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU?
I have finally been invited to be a panelist on this show for their 39th series. We are recording it on Wednesday night and then it is broadcast on Thursday at 9pm on BBC1 (with various repeats throughout the week). Details here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mkw3

CHRIST ON A BIKE PROGRAMME
I will be performing a reworked version of my 2001 show Christ on a Bike at this year's Edinburgh Fringe. I am at the Assembly Rooms in the Ballroom at 9.45 from 5th-30th August (I will let you know when tickets are on sale). If you want to get your name in the programme and help to raise funds for SCOPE then please visit http://www.justgiving.com/christonabike (where you can also see a draft version of the redesigned poster) and donate at least £15 (the more you donate the bigger your name will appear). If you email me your address after you have donated I will send you a limited edition signed copy of the programme in return and whoever gives the most will get a nice exclusive prize.
Also if you are connected with a business which wants to advertise in the programme (which will be given out free to up to everyone who comes to my show - with a print run of 40,000 this time) then email me at herring1967@googlemail.com. There is only limited space available as most of the pages have been taken now, so don't delay.

AS IT OCCURS TO ME
A second season of AIOTM (AIOTM) will be starting up in May.
The first six will be at the Leicester Square Theatre from May 17th- June 24th BOOK NOW at http://www.leicestersquaretheatre.com/lqt/show/S1251303475/Richard+Herring%3A+As+It+Occurs+To+Me
These will be two half shows this year and whatever I do in the first half will not be available on line.

And then the final two will be at the Bloomsbury theatre on 28th June and 5th July. At these gigs as well as getting to see the podcast I will also be doing a preview of my 2010 Edinburgh show (which is likely to be a reworking of the 2001 show "Christ on a Bike") You can already book tickets for those at http://www.thebloomsbury.com/event/run/1415 - and bear in mind that the end of series show seems to be the most popular one to see.
As always the shows (though not Christ on a Bike obviously) will be available to download for free on iTunes or at the British Comedy Guide, but audience it's a whole lot more fun if you can make the live gigs and you'll also be helping to fund the show.
You can buy AIOTM T shirts here - http://www.mysoti.com/mysoti/designer/aiotm/products/all

EDINBURGH
As well as Christ on a Bike we will be doing ten Collings and Herrin live podcasts and one live AIOTM. Details of how to get tickets will follow in a future newsletter.

LYRIC COMEDY NIGHTS
The Lyric comedy nights are continuing monthly until June. You can see details of line-ups and book tickets here - http://www.lyric.co.uk/p636.html The next one is on April 25th and features Ed Byrne and at least two other excellent comedians. Please support this night. The turn out has not been so good of late and it would be a shame if we had to stop doing them. Stewart Lee headlines in May and Noel Fielding is headlining in June so do book ahead if you want to be sure of seeing these fantastic line ups.

Thanks for reading this.
See you soon I hope
R K Herring
