Richard Herring - July News

Hey folks

Here's the latest news -

EDINBURGH
Previews for my new show, "The Headmaster's Son" are going really well, and this promises to be one of my best solo shows for a while. It will be on at the White Belly in the Underbelly at 7.30pm from 31st July to 24th August (not 20th)
You can book tickets at the edfringe website - http://www.edfringe.com/shows/detail.php?action=shows&id=935
Or try the Underbelly website - http://www.underbelly.co.uk/webpages/edinburgh/edinburgh-show.php?id=61:1212533343
or phone 0844 545 8252
Please book ahead to ensure attendance.

PREVIEWS
If you can't get up to Edinburgh you might be able to catch one of the remaining previews. Details at http://www.richardherring.com/gigs/
The show is still a work in progress, but getting close to being ready. The previews have also been selling very well, so again book ahead if you want to come. Newcastle and Bristol might well be sold out already, I am afraid.

TV
Alas the BBC passed on making my sitcom Absolutely Scrabulous. Hopefully another broadcaster might show better taste.

PODCASTS
If you haven't heard the Collings and Herrin podcast yet, then you are missing out. You can get them all here - http://www.comedy.org.uk/podcasts/collingsherrin/
Or download via iTunes.
They go up weekly, usually on a Friday (though it should be Thursday this week) and we are planning to keep them going through Edinburgh. In fact we will be doing one at the Fringe in the morning on 6th August, with an audience. Keep an eye on the website for details of how to get hold of tickets for that.

LYRIC AUTUMN SEASON
The three gigs at the Lyric Hammersmith are all selling incredibly well. In fact the November one reuniting much of the cast of TMWRNJ is already sold out. Don't miss out on the other two, which also look certain to sell out. They will be brilliant. Rob Newman has had to drop out of the September gig, but we'll find a suitable replacement
I will be hosting.
Sun 21st September - Stewart Lee and Dan Antopolski.
Sun 26 October - SPECIAL SURPRISE HEADLINER WHO WE CAN'T NAME YET, BUT WHO IS BRILLIANT, Stewart Lee, Ivan Brackenbury and Wilson Dixon
Call 0871 22 117 29
Or visit The Lyric website - http://www.lyric.co.uk/p636.html

YOUTUBE
Many clips of old Lee and Herring stuff are finding their way on to this site. You can also see me more recently dealing with a drunk heckler - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtjx-yplqTw

DVDs
You can still buy my DVDs and Posters at http://www.gofasterstripe.com/cgi-bin/website.cgi
They have also just released brilliant DVDs by Lucy Porter and Wil Hodgson, which I can heartily recommend.
We are in the process of filming extras for the super-duper double disc of "Oh F***, I'm 40" which will be out in the autumn. Posters from "The Headmaster's Son" will also be available soon.

PROGRAMME
Thanks to all those of you who donated to the programme, which is now being given out at all shows. I will get round to posting out the limited edition programmes to all who paid to get their name printed within as soon as I have a spare moment. Probably during Edinburgh. Remember you need to send me your address if you donated.

I think that's it for now. Hope to see you at one of my many gigs!
