Richard Herring - November news

Hello all
We are approaching Halloween, but remember, we have nothing to fear but fear itself.... and monsters.
And Frankingsteins are pretty scary too. Or maybe they're covered by monsters.
But none of the monsters are as scary and evil as the monster that is all too real and committing the most terrifying acts of all, the monster we call.... Bigfoots.
Here's what is coming up in the coming month

All the podcasts are now recorded and we're releasing them weekly until they run out. The eight guests in the fourth series were Shappi Khorsandi, Rufus Hound, Miranda Hart, Miles Jupp, Dara O'Briain, Ross Noble, Simon Pegg and Stephen Merchant. If you'd like to see any or all of those on video then head to to download a season pass or an individual episode. The future of this project is dependent on your support, but if you can't afford to donate then please tell your friends about the show.
You can listen to them all for free at the British Comedy Guide -
Or subscribe via iTunes -
The show will be back with more top guests in February and March 2014. Book now to ensure your seat. There are some big names in the frame -

My new project of a monthly filmed stand up show based upon the big questions of life starts on 17th November at the Leicester Square Theatre. You can come and seen episode one being recorded. It is only £10 a ticket. Episode 1 is about Creation and I will be joined by top scientist Marcus Chown to discuss the big bang amongst other things.
Buy your tickets here -
This video gives a basic idea of what to expect -
But I've just started writing today so I have about as much idea as you.
Eventually these six episodes will be put on the internet somewhere and we're still debating the best way of doing it. I think there's a chance that they might be free, but I will also offer the shows with some extra content as paid downloads. We will see.

There's a couple of tour dates in November
4th Peterborough
15th Cheltenham
All the booking details of those and the 2014 gigs are here -
Two dates have been added which are the Unity Theatre Liverpool on 20th February and Kings Theatre Cheddar on 27th February. I don't know if any more dates will be added I am afraid. I am doing a short tour so it's unlikely there will be many more, but I am hoping I might get out to Belfast or Dublin at some stage.

I am doing a few extra gigs this month, some of them are warm up nights for Meaning of Life. I will try to get the details up on the gig guide at
30th October Comedy Bar, Islington - new material night -
1st November Comedy Bunker, West Ruislip
2nd November Greenwich Comedy Festival - compering =
3rd November Bloomsbury theatre - afternoon charity gig for British Legion -
3rd November Tabard, Chiswick - Work in progress -

Most of the podcasts continue on a regular or irregular basis
You'll find nearly all of them, including the new "We're All Going To Die!" podcast here -
Though one of them is here -
They are also all available on iTunes and they are all free.
I have been trying to round up the crew for another frame of Me1 Vs Me2 snooker. Hopefully that will be up in the next week or so.

You can get most of my merch at, though there are a few books and kindle books available on Amazon.

I did an episode of the Museum of Curiosity, which you can listen to here -

You can read my Metro columns here -
Or in the Metro every Friday.

That's your lot for now. Make sure you don't hold your sparklers by the hot end and keep your pets indoors on Bonfire night. Happy John Johnson Day (it's what Guy Fawkes said he was called when caught in the cellars of the Houses of Parliament - rubbish pseudonym, but good that you're getting some facts with your newsletters hey? We're laughing and learning. Mainly learning it has to be said.
All the best
Rich Herring
