Sunday Times Edinburgh recommends

Comedy - Simon Munnery AGM, The Stand. Underrated comedy genius in a
show that recalls the good old ramshackle days of the Fringe. Both
Munnery and the Stand encapsulate what Edinburgh should be about, but
increasingly isn't.
Theatre C-90, Traverse Theatre. Daniel Kitson is a comedian with the
soul of a poet, unafraid to deal in pain and the loneliness of the human
condition. Unlike most theatre he is also genuinely funny. This one man
play promises to be all these things and more.
Art - Ron Mueck, RSA Upper. Mueck's work is weirdly beautiful but the
way he plays with scale is what endlessly fascinating.
Children's - Phil Kay - Give Me Your Left Shoe. This sounds like
brilliant fun for both kids and adults. Everyone gives the Kay their
left shoe and then if they want to they can join in the show to win it
back. Kay's unfettered imagination is a joyful thing.
