Oh the delicious irony. I avoided the traditional Edinburgh Fringe lurgy, which usually descends the moment you get home in September and relax, largely because I had to get straight down to work and had no time to let the germs do their dirty bidding. But now finally I've got the script done and the poker show over with, the germs have spotted my weakness and I have caught a cold. The Alanis Morissette style irony of this is that I got ill having just returned from Edinburgh this weekend. It's like the germs spotted all the signs, smelled the malt on the air, sensed me travelling home, thought bang- we're in! And no it's nothing to do with the Guinness last night as I felt bad before that.
Ah well I took the cough and heavy limbs as a good excuse to stay in bed most of the day, so the germs aren't all that bad. And I am not terribly ill, just a bit under the weather. Hopefully be all better tomorrow as I started tidying my house yesterday and have just made it much messier than it was before and need to sort it out.
