The real prospect of a no deal Brexit was making me feel physically sick tonight. Christ knows what is going to happen with this - hopefully an adult will turn up and save us from ourselves. Though they might have to be from the EU. Hard Remain. We were supposed to take leave of the EU, not our senses… am I right folks? Is this thing on?
Apparently they’ve got a team ready in a nuclear bunker in case of no Brexit and that makes sense, because if that happens the best course of action is probably to nuke ourselves and start again from scratch.
Theresa May last night said she was on the side of the public, without acknowledging that that’s pretty much impossible as as the referendum showed, we are split down the middle as what to do and even if you choose to ignore the traitors who voted to leave, the 52% that left are also split into at least three or four factions, so what she’s saying is she’s behind maybe at most 20% of the public (who voted in the referendum) and only then if she gives £350 million a week to the NHS, which she isn’t going to do.
But I am a member of the public and she says she’s on my side, so I am going to use this as a vindication of everything I think and do. Especially stone clearing.
Theresa also says we just want it over but seems insistent that her way of it being over is the only way. My foot’s been stuck in this hole for 3 hours. I just want this to be over... well we’ll chop off your foot then... any chance we can think about this?... no, we all want it to be over.
If people really want it to be over quickly then the only way that that is going to happen is if we just decide not to leave after all. Then it’s done. Anything else is going to take a couple of years or a couple of decades.
Be interesting to see what happens, just as I imagine it’s kind of interesting to be on fire. You’re mainly screaming in pain, but a part of you is looking at your fire-strewn body and thinking â€œWow, look at that.”
Ten minutes is a long time in politics right now, but I hope parliament will start to put the interests of the country above their party. I don’t mind if I don’t get what I wanted - I’d just like not to have to saw my foot off whilst being on fire. And who would have thought we’d get to the point where that was seen as a positive?
