@artwwweb yup, me too. Spread the word if you can. It's a show that even newbies seem to like  (23 minutes ago)

@AndyT306 I think I've had enough. Still managed to keep team happy and a fair few assists. Nearly played for 50 seasons though  (1 hour ago)

@AndyT306 especially for a 63 year old. Someone told me they'd got over 100 so pretty much took every shot I could. Got 1st double hatrick  (1 hour ago)

@AndyT306 I spend mine on energy drinks. Can't be bothered with horses usually!  (2 hours ago)

@AndyT306 impressed by how much money you've accrued. But I am now 64 and scored 108 goals last season so I have so much more to lose  (2 hours ago)

Warming Up
Friday 9th February 2007

The
power of the internet is demonstrated once more. By four o clock this afternoon the person who I thought had invited me to the Virgin Media party had got in touch with me to say that yesterday's entry was funny, but added "what I find confusing is how you ended up with the email. I wrote it and sent it to the picture desks at the papers - it was not intended as a 'celebrity' invite - it's just a photocall notice (and snappers want to know who is lined up for the red carpet pap run). How it ended up in your managements hands is a mystery - can you shed any more light on who sent it to them please. I certainly didn't send it to you, I have no clue who you are although I hear you are quite funny."

I was worried I had got the guy who had forwarded the email to me from Avalon into trouble, but was more confused as to how this person had
not heard of me when I had an email very clearly from them, including my name from yesterday.

It was a mystery.

Surely someone (maybe at Avalon) hadn't just inserted my name into a general email to make it look like Richard Branston wanted me at launch.

I had also seem reports of the party and Al Gore had been there (not even worth mentioning that on the email - I mean they wouldn't have wanted to bump Lil Chris off for someone like him) and Blondie were playing. It sounded brilliant. There were even unlikely rumours that Noel Fielding had snogged Debbie Harry, who if you want to snog someone in their sixties is a good choice. That's unfair, I saw her first. Really you need to kiss her in 1976 to be really impressive. Preferrably on the same day as you have
snogged Jenny Agutter.

Anyway, the PR person got back to tell me that someone else must have used her computer, as she had been out all that day (seems unlikely), but ended the email by saying, "Will be sure to keep you posted about future events (earlier than an hour before they happen!)."

So there you go - I have breached the fortresses of the gilded cess-pit of celebrity and you can be certain that you will soon be reading internet rumours about me snogging the face off Lil Chris, as Justin Lee Collins looks on.

The power of Warming Up once again demonstrated.

And I got the art work for the forthcoming tour today. I have put it up here to encourage you to purchase tickets. I played the Arts Depot in Finchley tonight (it's literally a depot of Art) and the small studio wasn't even half full, so I am quite concerned about how things are going to be in the 335 seater Arts Theatre for 10 nights. So do start spreading the word to anyone you think might be interested. I need this.
