Review of Banter in the Radio Times

Banter

6:30pm - 7:00pm

BBC Radio 4

At last, something new and genuinely funny in the 6:30pm comedy slot. Hosted by RT's Andrew Collins the premise is simple: three guests are each given a category before the show and asked to come up with their "top three". Tonight, for example, comedian Will Smith has to name "the top three women of the 20th century". This is the starting point for improvised, quick-witted, ironic debate - and some seriously worrying choices from the panel (Wincey Willis, Yoko Ono and Eva Braun???).
