Three and a half star review of Oh Fuck in the Sunday Times

Maybe it’s an age thing. Richard Herring 8.20pm) has just hit 40, isn’t married, has no kids and, to his own surprise, has started skateboarding and wearing tight-fitting T-shirts – neither of which he is very good at. He tells of life on the road, of trying to sleep with younger fans and badly losing a fight to impress them, of wishing he had enjoyed his twenties and TV career more, and of feeling that youth is wasted on the kind of people who wear slogans like “Give me head till I’m dead”. Australians, in other words. For all his age-driven angst, Herring is settling nicely into his stand-up style after a couple of false starts, and introspection is doing his material the world of good.
